Who we are
The Friends of Leo Nickerson are a small group of parent volunteers who organize and run fundraising campaigns and events to help in the education of our children. We are dedicated to enhancing the school experience by sponsoring initiatives which will promote and assist in providing for an enthusiastic and dynamic school community.
How the money is used
The Friends of Leo Nickerson committee members together with the school administrators annually plan what the school’s needs and wants are and which expenditures the Friends group will pay for.
How you can help

Attend monthly meetings (second Thursday of each month at 7pm)

Friends Events
In addition to the fundraisers that Friends runs, we are also responsible for some of the family fun events throughout the year such as:

FALL DANCE featuring DJ Wilson
FAMILY SKI NIGHT
CARNIVAL D’HIVER with performers, sleigh rides and sugar shack
Grade 5s attend the EDMONTON SYMPHONY
Grade 6s participate in the DARE PROGRAM

Olympic medals for every child

Playground replacement
​
Teacher appreciation lunch
All are covered by money raised by the Friends of Leo Nickerson and the support of many volunteers.
